Anika Sultana FCA is the founder and CEO of Anika Sultana & Co. Chartered Accountants. Her practice would include providing assurance services, guidance to business and development organizations on financial management, operation, grants management, governance and compliance matters, strategic planning and so on.

Anika brings 18 years extensive experience on auditing, financial operations, financial planning, budgeting, overseeing financial reporting, grants management, sub-recipient monitoring, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and multi donor policies/guidelines. She has more than 10 years’ experience as Head of Accounts in BRAC (World’s no. 1 NGO) and Finance & Grants team leader, manager in USAID-funded family planning (FP), maternal, and child health (MNCH), and reproductive health (RH) programs in SMC. Managed a portfolio of $800 million in BRAC. Served as key personnel on the USAID/Bangladesh Marketing Innovation for Health Program that aimed to contribute to sustained improvements in the health status of women and children in Bangladesh by increasing access to and demand for essential health products and services through the private sector. Demonstrated management, coordination, teamwork, and planning skills, with proven ability to function effectively with multiple partners and counterparts. Anika also served USAID/Bangladesh for three years as a Financial Analyst and managed a portfolio of more than $100 million. 

As a professional Chartered Accountant Anika has detail knowledge and senior level experience in accounting, administration, and operational practices. Recognized for in depth knowledge on US, UK, Australia, Canadian government-funding rules and regulations, financial reporting, and disclosure requirements, which helped to achieve the organization wide goal. She is able to provide technical support and training on finance, compliance and administration to team members, partners, and sub-grantees.

Anika also served as the finance lead in SMC Enterprise Ltd. (a 100% owned subsidiary of SMC) and demonstrated efficiency and effectiveness to help start rolling. She was involved in reconstruction, company formation, vendor agreement and later was entrusted with the responsibility of the overall financial management and Secretary to the Board of newly formed company due to providing extensive support to the whole process.

She holds MBA and BBA in Accounting from Dhaka University. Anika is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and worked for KPMG Bangladesh for 4 years. She was involved for auditing local and multinational companies and proved herself as the best team member for her excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Anika is one of the first 100 female members of ICAB (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh). She is the first elected female member of Dhaka Regional Committee (DRC), ICAB in its history of 41 years. She also has the credit of being the first female Secretary of DRC, ICAB.
